2008 November 18

Another day with very little writing done, again mostly at work on the Palm Pilot. Today (Wednesday) is going to be little, if any better, but Thursday should be good I hope.

Words today: 273
Total for the month so far: 16314

The other changes I had to make after Veronika shifted in were no more difficult and so, within a week, we had settled into a new routine. Our mornings involved meeting in the kitchen to make breakfast and then we'd eat in the dining room, usually while glancing through the paper. After we finished eating one of us would put together some lunch while the other cleaned up the dishes.

We decided early on that walking to work each day would be the better option, mainly for health and money reasons. After we got home from work we would put stuff away and check the mail, then one of us would shower while the other started on preparing our evening meal and then we'd swap.

The rest of our time was spent much as it had been while we were just dating, watching movies or talking about the upcoming weekend, or even discussing work stuff (which we both understood a lot quicker after there was the common frame of reference).
One thing we didn't discuss as much as we should have was our relationship. It had just gone through a very large change and though we were both happy with it then it could have gone bad very quickly.

Getting to the weekend was both easier and harder than I had been used to. Knowing that I would get to see Veronika each day after work and at lunch time made the boring times more bearable. The fact I was getting to work more on the wormhole research helped as well, I had begun to understand more and more of the initial calculations.
